Rotating Stories Web part
To allow non-technical staff to upload images and link pages so they can display several news stories on the same page dynamically.
Function:created a web application that allowed end users to display content from a health library via WebAPI. They entered criteria into a webpart that populated a http request to the Library. The XML data returned is parsed using an XSLT stylesheet and displayed in the page once published.

Consumers were having a difficult time navigating through the website so I created a search box whose data derives from a SharePoint list. It also replaced all of the redirects utilized to steer consumers to specific pages on the site. We have over 300 redirects on the site currently and it slows site performance. The list contains key words that auto-populate the search field. The word will take the consumer to the landing page holding the relevant content on the web site.

Baylor has over 300 videos to showcase on the website. They wanted to categorize them by specialty, hospital affiliation, and year of production. I created one flash file that could be used in multiple places around the site. Based upon parameters set on the page, the flash will display videos by specialty, hospital affiliation, or year of production.
